Boarding
Dark Spring Stables offers a field board on a beautiful private farm hidden in the mountain ridges of Hillsboro.
The farm boasts separate fields that are coated in lush grass in the spring and summer months, surrounded by 3 board and hot wire fence. Each field offers plenty of shade, run ins, and auto waterers. Hay is given 4x daily, grain 2x daily (horse owner provided), with blanketing or fly sheets as necessary.
There is a small organized tack and feed room with plenty of storage. The isle is equipped with 2 sets of cross ties and a saddle rack for easy tacking. There is a grass riding ring and plenty of trail riding, located near Walsh Family Wines and Old 690 Brewery, you are welcome to ride your horse to either and hang out.
The farm owner lives on-site and health checks are done twice daily. No horses are left alone for long periods of time and there are cameras set up strategically in each field for constant observation. The owner is also a farrier apprentice and will be going to farrier school this winter (2022) and obtaining a certification from the American Farriers Association.
